No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, you are welcome. We will not embarrass you as a first time visitor, but we will welcome you with a gift at the Southside Connections Counter after worship. We want to make a good first impression with you.
The purpose of Southside's Connections is to help our new visitors meet pastors, staff, ministry leaders, and regular attendees so that they can build friendships that will grow into meaningful relationships. Our ushers, greeters and information center volunteers are here each weekend to serve you. When you visit us, be sure to ask the greeters at the door or inside the lobby for directions.
The Connections Counter in the lobby will help you enroll your children and direct you to the location of each of our children’s centers and nursery. These same people are there to answer any questions you may have or provide directions.
There are several ways to get connected at Southside Christian Church.
The first step is to attend a worship service and allow our greeters to help you get acquainted with people, places, and upcoming events. Look in the bulletin for the next "Starting Point" meeting. Starting Point is a short meeting after Sunday worship where a pastor and key staff peole will introduce thenselves and share what Southside values as a church. Q & A is also a part of Starting Point.
Secondly, Southside is a church of small groups. Explore our small group information here on this Web site. When you are ready to talk to someone about how to find a small group, call the church office at 535-2301 and ask for Amy Hawk.
A third way to get connected is to find a ministry team where you can serve and fellowship with other passionate and like-minded people. Check a box on the back of the registration card that might be an area you are interested in, and a staff person will contact you. Serving is part of our culture at Southside Christian Church. We believe that every Christian was created for a purpose and to serve others.
